Sub-topics
The Testimony of Faith
Islam has placed the testimony of monotheism “There is no deity except Allah” in the highest of ranks. It is the first obligatory act of a Muslim, so whoever wants to enter Islam must believe it and utter it. And whoever says it with conviction, seeking Allah's face through it, it will be the reason for his deliverance from the Fire, as the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Allah has made the fire of Hell unlawful for him who affirms that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah.” (Bukhari 415)
al-Īmān (Belief)
All prophetic messages sent to their respective people agree in worshipping Allah alone, without associating any partners in worship, and to disbelieve in anything that is worshipped other than Allah. This is the true meaning of the word "monotheism". And that is the proclamation by which someone enters the religion of Allah.
Worship
Worship refers to absolute obedience with love, veneration, and submission, and it is Allah’s right over His servants. It is exclusive to Him alone and no one else. It includes all that Allah loves and is pleased with in terms of the words and actions that He commands people, whether they are outward actions such as the daily prayers, Zakat, and Hajj, or inner actions, such as remembrance of Allah in the heart, fear of Him, reliance on Him, seeking help from Him, and other things.
