Zakah is the third pillar from the Pillars of Islam.  Allah mandated it so that it may develop the giver and taker and purify them, and even if it appears to be a reduction in the amount of money except that from its effects are increasing the money's blessing, increasing the money's amount, and increasing the faith in the heart of the person of zakah.
