Wiping on Leather and Fabric Socks

From the easiness of Islam is that a Muslim can, upon performing wudoo', wipe with their wet hands upon the top of their fabric socks or shoes thta cover all of the foot instead of washing (the foot) of their leg, and that is with conditions.

When is it Legislated to Wipe on Leather Socks?

It is legislated to wipe on leather and fabric socks upon wudoo' if a Muslim wore them while pure from major and minor hadath (state of impurity).

The Duration of Wiping on Leather and Fabric Socks

A day and a night for a resident (24 hours)
Three days with their nights for a traveler (72 hours)

It is valid to wipe on leather socks in wudoo' however in ghusl from janabah, it is obligatory to wash the feet in any case.

Calculating the time of wiping on leather and fabric socks starts from the time of the first wipe after hadath.

Wiping on a Cast

The cast: it is what is placed on a limb upon being inflicted with a break or wound to help with the speed of recovery and relieving pains.

It is sufficient to wipe with a wet hand on a cast upon the need for it, regardless if that is for wudoo' or ghusl from janabah.

How to Wipe on a Cast?

It is required that they wash what is exposed from the limb and wipe with their hand, wet with water, on what the cast covers.

The Duration of Wiping on a Cast

Wiping on a cast continues, even if the time period grows long, so long as they are in need of it. It is obligatory upon them to remove the cast and wash the limb whenever the need ends.

Tayammum (dry purification)

If a Muslim is unable to use water in wudoo' or ghusl due to illness, lack of water, or that there is no water except enough to drink: then tayammum with dirt is legislated for them until they are able to find water and able to use it.

The Description of Tayammum

A Muslim strikes one strike with their hands upon the dirt.

They wipe with what stuck from the dirt on their hands upon their face.

They wipe the back of their right hand with the left hand and vice versa.
